Plot :

The film is told from the perspective of disillusioned evangelical minister, Reverend Cotton Marcus (Patrick Fabian), who after years of performing exorcisms decides to participate in a documentary chronicling his last exorcism while exposing the fraud of his ministry. After receiving a letter from a farmer asking for help in driving out the devil, he meets the farmer’s afflicted daughter, Nell (Ashley Bell).[5][6] The tagline and premise of the movie is “If you believe in God, then you must believe in the Devil.” The film itself is presented as “found footage”.

Reverend Cotton Marcus lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with his wife and son. Raised as an evangelical pastor by his father, he has been accustomed to performing exorcisms on “possessed” individuals. However, his faith has waned after reading of an autistic child being killed during an exorcism, reminding him of his own son, who also has a disability. He comes to realize that he attributes the healing of his son to science, and not Jesus Christ. At random, he chooses a plea letter from an individual seeking exorcism. Upon arrival to the farm house of a man who claims to have a possessed daughter Cotton’s mission is to expose the fraud of his ministry. He arranges Nell’s room so that he could bamboozle the family into believing he is driving out a demon. After the ritual Cotton and his film crew leave believing they have cured her of a mental state that was being misdiagnosed as a demonic possession.

Later that night, as the team sleeps at a nearby hotel five miles away, Nell mysteriously appears in Cotton’s room. The team tries to contact her father to get permission to film it but to no avail. Wishing to prove his point, Cotton admits Nell to the hospital for testing and in hopes of getting a medical or psychological diagnosis proving that demonic possession was not the cause of her illness. However, the doctor concludes that Nell is in perfect physical state. In the morning, her father arrives and takes her home and chains her in her room for slicing her brother in the face. While Nell’s father takes Caleb to the hospital,Cotton and the camera crew stay to further investigate Nell and the home. They discover the chained Nell and release her. Later that night, there is a disturbance in the house and Cotton and the crew hear a baby’s cries. They head upstairs to find Nell standing in the middle of the hallway. As they try to confront her, she evades them and heads into the bathroom where she is submerging a baby doll in water. After she comes out of her trance, the crew finds a picture of a dead and bloodied cat.

Late into the night, the crew falls asleep. Nell goes downstairs and grabs the camera. She turns it on and goes into her father’s tool shed where she corners a cat and beats it to death with the camera. She goes back to the sleeping crew and stands over Cotton. After several moments, the entire crew wakes up and tries to calm Nell, seemingly unaware of her deeds. Again, they lead her to her room. Nell’s father comes home and listens to an answering machine message from the hospital stating that Nell is pregnant. Her father denies raping Nell and supposes the demon inside Nell has defiled his virgin daughter. Tempers flare as Cotton insists that Nell is mentally disturbed and needs psychotherapy, instead of another exorcism. Nell’s father gives the crew five minutes to vacate his property. While contemplating whether they should remove Nell from the home a loud noises are heard upstairs. They go upstairs into Nell’s room and discover she has climbed up her dresser. While trying to calm her down, she slashes Cotton’s hand with a knife and runs outside. The crew follows her, but lose her. As they are about to abandon the cause, Nell is on the porch. While approaching her, Nell tackles Cotton and attempts to harm him. The struggle leads inside as Nell’s father chases them with a shotgun. Reluctantly, Cotton agrees to give her another exorcism.

They relocate to the tool shed, where Nell had killed the cat. Cotton attempts to bring out the demon to confront it. The demon comes out and reveals Nell is in fact possessed. The demon harasses Cotton until he realizes that a demon would understand slang terms such as blow job, and not call it a “blowing job”, as a young, naive girl might. Upon confronting Nell with this, she breaks down and admits to having sex with a boy named Logan and committing her violent acts from the shame of her pregnancy.

On the way home, Cotton detours to the coffee shop where Logan works. Logan talks to the crew stating he only talked to Nell for a minute at the estranged preacher’s house six months ago. In addition he insinuates that he is gay, therefore he would have never had sex with her. Confused, Cotton returns to the farmhouse. They enter Nell’s room to find the room decorated with pentagrams and other demonic symbols, but Nell and her family are absent from the house. They wander into the woods where they see a large fire and Nell giving birth amongst hooded worshipers (including the former family Protestant Minister). Nell’s father is tied up while the others pray. The trio spy on the ceremony as Nell gives birth to an inhuman entity. The Protestant Minister then grabs the baby and throws it into the fire. The fire rages and the voice of the devil can be heard. Cotton grabs his cross and rushes towards the fire to combat the devil. The camera man and producer are soon discovered and make a run for it, leaving Cotton’s fate undetermined. As they run, the producer is tackled and chopped into several pieces. The camera man survives and looks back on the scene. Nell’s brother emerges and chops off the camera man’s head. The camera falls and the scene fades to black.

Unlike the previous Resident Evil film trilogy, Degeneration is set within the same universe as the original video games. The main characters are Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, who appear together for the first time since Resident Evil 2. The film made its premiere in Japan on October 11, 2008 at the Tokyo Game Show, and was released nationwide one week later on October 18. The DVD and Blu-ray were released on December 26, 2008 in Japan and December 27, 2008 in North America. It was released in the United Kingdom on January 12, 2009.

Plot :

The movie takes place in the year 2005, a year after the events in Resident Evil 4, and 7 years after the events of the Raccoon City incidents. Claire Redfield is now a member of TerraSave, an organization which handles search and rescue at chemical and biological attacks. Claire arrives at Harvardville Airport to meet a family she is aiding. A passenger aircraft is approaching the airport to land. As one of the attendants checks the passengers, she notices one man looking unwell. The man in question is clearly in the final stages of T-virus infection, and warns the attendant. Shortly after, the transformation is complete.

Claire is looking after her friend’s niece, Rani Chawla, when they see Senator Ron Davis walk by. A zombie-masked protester walks up to him, imitating one of the infected. While arresting the protester, a police officer is attacked by an actual infected. One of Davis’ bodyguards shoots the zombie, only to be bitten by the infected police officer, who was presumed dead. The second guard attempts to run but is also devoured. The scene causes panic and people in the vicinity flee, some being attacked by the infected. Then the plane shown previously crashes into the building, destroying a section of the airport as everyone flees for cover. Out of the airplane come its occupants, all infected. Unable to escape from the airport terminal, Claire, Davis and Rani shut themselves in the VIP lounge and call for help.

By nightfall, the airport has been locked down by the United States Marine Corps and local law enforcement. Survivors are evacuated for treatment, many still locked inside the airport. Two Special Response Team (SRT) officers, Angela Miller and Greg Glenn, are joined by a government agent with experience of such incidents, Leon S. Kennedy. The group enter the building where the VIP lounge is located through the roof and begin their search. They manage to find Claire and the survivors. Traveling back to the main terminal, Glenn is bitten by a zombie and stays behind, determined to save the rest by killing the creatures nearby. The survivors shoot their way out, with the marines (who had been vaccinated prior to the lockdown) clearing out the terminal.

Claire sees a convoy of trucks from the WilPharma Corporation, who she was campaigning against. Upon being told that WilPharma had created a T-virus vaccine, Claire realizes that the vaccine could have saved those who died. Suddenly, the WilPharma trucks containing the vaccine are destroyed. Claire goes with WilPharma chief researcher Frederic Downing to the WilPharma research facility for more vaccine. After a tour of the facility, Claire is shown a molecular-scale image of the G-virus. Downing, surprised by her anger, excuses himself and she is left alone in his office.

Claire calls Leon to inform him about WilPharma’s possession of the G-virus, and learns that he and Angela Miller have found the house of Curtis Miller, Angela’s brother, destroyed by fire. Downing phones Claire to warn her that a man has just left the facility and that a time bomb has been activated. Claire looks out of a window and sees Curtis Miller running through the central gardens with a briefcase. The bomb goes off.

Leon and Angela arrive at WilPharma and Leon goes upstairs to Claire while Angela, monitoring the ground level, encounters Curtis. Curtis tells Angela that the government covered up some of the events in Raccoon City which kept his family from being saved. A squad of U.S. Marines storm the room. Curtis, having injected the G-virus, mutates. The soldiers open fire on him, and Curtis goes on a rampage killing everyone in his vicinity. Leon saves Angela from the massacre as the atrium garden begins to fall apart, with the wreckage crushing Curtis. Believing him to be dead, the surviving soldiers head up the elevator to safety, Leon and Angela choosing to stay downstairs and wait for the elevator to come back down. Curtis gets out of the wreckage and mutates further, climbing up the building and by destroying the elevator, killing the soldiers inside.

The WilPharma computer system then sets the building on fire in an attempt to avoid the T- and G-Virus’ spreading. Angela and Leon jump into a pool of water to avoid burning wreckage. After having shot a glass partition to avoid drowning, the two find themselves in an underground area. Meanwhile, Claire makes it to the command center on the upmost floor, doing whatever she can to halt a biohazard alarm and open the building. She fails and the detection of Curtis in the underground center causes another alarm, in which sections of the building are ejected to fall deep underground.

As Leon and Angela search for an escape route, Curtis attacks them, seeing Leon as a threat and Angela as a mate. Eventually, Curtis manages to regain control, telling Angela to run. As the sections are being ejected, Leon and Angela climb up wreckage, only to hang from a broken catwalk. About to fall, Curtis grabs hold of Angela’s leg. Leon is forced to shoot Curtis in the face, causing him to fall to his death. The impact of Curtis with the bottom of the pit causes an eruption of fire, from which Leon and Angela are saved when a bulkhead closes just below them.

Leon, Angela and Claire exit the building. There Claire accuses Senator Davis of the cover up and the Harvardville Airport incident. Leon reveals that Davis did not know anything, and Claire realizes that the real villain was actually Downing, who caused the outbreak in the airport, the disaster on the plane, the destruction of the vaccine, the detonation of the bomb at the research building and the bio-terrorism incidents by selling T-virus samples. Meanwhile, Downing talks to General Grandé, a client eager to buy the t-virus, now that news reports have revealed its potential. Waiting for a contact to sell WilPharma information to, Downing mistakes a car containing Leon and Claire for his contact. He is arrested by Angela.

The next day Leon and Claire meet with a despondent Angela. Leon reveals that Downing confessed to everything, which was designed as a sales pitch for the virus to General Grandé. He reveals that he was an Umbrella researcher and stole samples of both viruses and escaped immediately prior to the Raccoon City incident before erasing his history and creating a new identity with which to apply to WilPharma. Once there, he was able to sell the virus to a list of potential customers while researching the vaccine.

Leon and Claire say goodbye and leave. Meanwhile, news gets out that Davis has resigned from office over allegations of insider stock trading with WilPharma stocks. A newspaper draped over Davis’ face reads “Tricell Offers to Purchase WilPharma”. Davis’ hand falls from the desk revealing him to be dead, and on his computer WilPharma files are being deleted, which when completed reveal a Tricell insignia on his screen. The film ends with Tricell employees in hazmat suits searching the underground ruins of the WilPharma research building, where they discover a fragment of Curtis’s body infected with the G-virus, which they seal in a bio-hazard container.

Plot :

The Crazies is about the inhabitants of a small Iowa town suddenly plagued by insanity and then death after a mysterious toxin contaminates their water supply. One man, his wife, a nurse, and the sheriff try to survive this plague, but the military is killing everyone on sight. They’re going to have to fight their way out, or die by either the plague or the military.

Plot :

Sydney Wells is a successful classical violinist who has been blind since the age of five. Fifteen years later, Sydney undergoes a cornea transplant, which causes her eyesight to return, a bit blurry at first. As time goes on, Sydney’s vision begins to clear; however she also begins experiencing terrifying visions, mostly of fire and of people dying. The bulk of the rest of the film concerns Sydney unravelling the mystery of the visions, and trying to convince others, primarily her visual therapist, Paul Faulkner, who becomes a helpmate in her quest. She knows that she is not going insane. She finds herself in Mexico, where the donated corneas were originally from. The fire and people dying are the result of an industrial accident that the former donor foretold and shortly after that hanged herself because she could not stop the accident from occurring. Sydney puts the spirit to rest, and began her trek home. As Sydney and Paul wait in a queue of vehicles to cross the border, a high speed police chase ends with the fugitive crashing through the border barriers and into a tanker full of gasoline. Sydney, able to still see the death silhouettes, had begun to try and get everyone she can off the highway. The tanker explodes from a spark in the getaway car’s engine and Sydney is blinded by flying glass. After recovering at a hospital, she returns to her life as a blind violinist, though with a more optimistic view of her condition.

Plot :

The film starts off with the original rhyme as told by the Maleva. It then cuts to Ben Talbot, in the Blackmoor woods armed with a pistol. Before he is confronted by a werewolf which claws across his face and then guts him. He runs but to no avail.

Lawrence Talbot returns to his ancestral home for his brother’s funeral, after receiving a letter from his brother’s fiance Gwen Conliffe. His father greets him and allows him to see Ben’s body, which is thoroughly mangled and torn apart.

He finds a mysterious medallion with his brother’s belongings, and is told it came from the nearby gypsy camp. He travels there, much to his fathers annoyance, on a full moon. He arrives at the camp and is told that the item is from Maleva.

When he goes to see her she warns him of great danger, just as an unnamed werewolf turns up at the camp and kills and maims most of the villagers. A young boy strays from the camp and the werewolf chases him. Lawrence follows him, but the boy ignores him. He is subsequently attacked by the werewolf and bitten on the neck, but the gypsies scare it off, and Lawrence is tended to and taken to his father.

He heals unnaturally quick and finds the wound no more than just a scar. He explores his house at night and remembers walking outside during the night and finding his father cradling his dead mother. She had slit her own throat. Inspector Francis Aberline of Scotland Yard arrives and questions Lawrence. Both are suspicious of each other, and Aberline departs. Soon after priests and local religious men arrive to take Lawrence away and kill him, but his father saves him.

Many nights after on the full moon, Lawrence sees his father walking out to the crypt. He follows and finds a cell containing his father. He then locks the door with Lawrence outside just as his son begins to transform into his werewolf form. Elsewhere Aberline plans to spend the evening at the local tavern and villagers set up a trap for the wolf man. Lawrence, now fully changed alerts everyone to his presence by howling for the first time. He attacks and kills all of the villagers that set the trap.

When he changes back he is greeted by his father. He is arrested by the police and Aberline, and is taken to the mental institution his father sent him to as a child.

He is tortured and awakes in his cell, his father now with him. He explains that the institution had convinced him that his mother killed herself, but what he really saw was his father as a werewolf, who had killed his mother. He then explains how he was bitten by a wolf boy in a cave when he was traveling in the Hindu Kush mountains with his friends, and how for the past 25 years, Singh the man servant has locked him in the crypt, but he broke loose and killed Ben.

It is also assumed, but not confirmed that it was Sir John who bit Lawrence. Lawrence then vows to kill him and is taken into a court of scholars to prove, as the full moon comes out that there are no werewolves. But he transforms and kills most of the men and women in the building. He then rampages across London. Aberline orders his men to capture Lawrence, who is traveling back to Blackmoor to kill Sir John.

Lawrence arrives at Talbot Manor to find Singh’s decapitated head impaled on a post. Lawrence arms himself with the man servant’s silver bullets and finds one of Aberline’s men dead in Sir John’s armchair. Father and son change, and fight, with Lawrence pushing his father into the fire before killing him. Aberline tries to shoot but Gwen pushes him and the Wolfman bites and throws him aside, going after Gwen. Gwen then shoots Lawrence with a silver bullet and kills him. Aberline appears clutching to the silver cane. Talbot Manor appears in flames and a wolves howl is heard, presumably Aberline.

* Hugo Weaving as Francis Aberline, who investigates murders by the transformed Talbot. The name Francis Aberline is a play on Frederick Abberline, who was a real life Victorian inspector working on the Jack the Ripper case.

Plot :

A typical day on the slopes turns into a chilling nightmare for two snowboarders and a skier when they get stranded on the chairlift before their last run. As the ski patrol switches off the night lights, they realize with growing panic that they have been left behind dangling high off the ground with no way down.
With the resort closed until the following weekend and frostbite and hypothermia already setting in, the trio is forced to take desperate measures to escape off the mountain before they freeze to death. Once they make their move, they discover with horror that they have much more to fear than just the frigid cold. As they combat unexpected obstacles, they start to question if their will to survive is strong enough to overcome the worst ways to die.

Plot :

After God loses faith in humanity, the archangel Michael (Paul Bettany), who has become a fallen angel, is the only one standing between mankind and Armageddon. This time using angels to execute the Last Judgment, God’s wrath descends on Earth to exterminate the world’s population. In a desperate, last-chance gambit, Michael leads a group of strangers to a small New Mexico diner to become unlikely heroes to protect a young waitress (Adrianne Palicki) who may be pregnant with Christ in his second coming.
