SM+P architects designed the new Park Café in Bolton Hill. The approximately 900sf garage space which had been occupied by the former Bolton Hill Deli was in desperate need of a renovation and not habitable for a food establishment. Initially, the renovation was to be modest but upon further inspection, the entire shop was gutted and stripped back to its former shell. SM+P envisioned a new concept and brand with the owners and ultimately designed a space that was fresh and clean. Incorporating a folded white steel service counter that occupies the center of the space. SM+P used clean whites, soft grays and warm wood tones to give a richness to the space, with pops of blue which coordinate with their espresso machine. SM+P installed a series of their signature light fixtures which are going into retail production. The center bay opens up during seasonal weather to allow for an airy sidewalk café experience.
